Project TWO

Project TWO is my second full length music composition project. This project was developed as a concept for fashion show soundtracks. Even though each track was influenced by different subject matters, I wanted the tracks to appeal to a young, energetic and trendy fashion brand. Since these were composed for fashion shows, I put more emphasis on drumbeats for the catwalks, but I used intros, outros and bridges to break up the repetitive patterns in the tracks. The length of the tracks can be adjusted to the length of the shows. A Fashion show is a comprehensive work of art, and music is a large part of creating the art. The performance of the models has the most direct and sentimental connection to the music. Music is necessary to the success of a fashion show, it offers the visual and auditory enjoyment for an ideal environment. I did three tracks for this project, and I used GarageBand and Logic Pro X. For videos, I used Adobe Aftereffect.

Audio Tracks:

Project TWO/Track 1 is influenced by Indian music. I used instruments like Tabla, Sitar, Riq, Erhu and Indian Ankle Bells to create the base track. To create the drumbeat, I used Modern 808 drum machine.

Project TWO/Track 2 is a racing influenced track. I used Formula 1 racing commentaries as a base track. For drumbeats, I used Simmons SDS-V drum machine.

Project TWO/Track 3 is influenced by Middle eastern music. I used instruments like Turkish oud lute, Darbuka and Riq to create the base track. For drumbeats, I used Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer.
